Capio is one of the leading providers of independent hospital services in England, with a network of 21 acute hospitals. These provide a wide and comprehensive range of specialised and efficient clinical specialties from orthopaedics and general surgery, to cardiac surgery and oncology.

Capio Mental Health
Capio is one of the largest providers of specialised treatments for psychological and emotional problems, eating disorders and addictions.
Services include General Psychiatry, Addictions, Psychiatric Intensive Care, Low Secure, Eating Disorders, Child and Adolescent Services, and Day and Outpatient Care. Inpatient, outpatient and day care is provided through specialist facilities in London and Liverpool.
Capio Diagnostics
Capio provides laboratory medicine, including a recently acquired specialised histopathology and cytology service, together with imaging services, on both a fixed and mobile basis to its patients. Four mobile imaging units are currently in operation, providing CT and MRI services at Capio's UK hospitals, as well as a number of NHS sites around the country.
Capio NHS Partnerships
In April 2004, Capio were appointed to carry out 9,000 operations in partnership with the NHS. Operations are being carried out nationally across 12 Strategic Health Authorities, with patients being treated in existing Capio hospitals.
In May 2004, Capio signed the largest public sector care contract ever awarded to a private healthcare provider in the UK. Under this contract 95,000 NHS patients will be treated by Capio over 5 years, in nine specialist centres - five newly built, two in NHS facilities, and two in Capio's existing hospitals in England.
