Ramsay supports newly qualified Consultants
Ramsay Health Care recently held their first UK event for newly
qualified Consultants, providing an invaluable insight into the
practical aspects of entering private practice.
At the Manchester Hilton, Consultants from across the North West
heard from a range of internal and independent speakers, who were
brought together to give the basic knowledge required to set up
private practice for the first time. Topics included finance and
taxation, medical indemnity, insurer relations, applying for
practicing privileges and how to market themselves, supported by
the first hand experiences of Marcus Cope, Consultant Orthopaedic
Surgeon from Renacres Hospital, in Ormskirk.
It was clear from the response of these newly qualified
Consultants that there is currently very little guidance for
setting up private practice. Ramsay is pleased to be supporting
Consultants from the outset, and proactively recruiting
up-and-coming specialists to continually ensure the best standards
of service for our patients.
Without exception, attendees were enthusiastic, keen to hear
more and make appointments with the attending Hospital Managers to
discuss opportunities in more detail.
